Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui - Programs

Since we want to make sure the match relationship is successful for everyone involved, we do our best to assist the "Big", "Little" and family members in every way possible. We offer information to volunteers from the initial contact with our agency. So that things get off on the right foot, we play a key role in the match introduction. We want to make sure that everyone involved in the relationship has acceptable expectations and that it is a perfect match. Our agency ensures each mentoring relationship receives support from a trained professional. Your Match Specialist will provide guidance during your match, and can offer direction concerning the relationship, activities and goals. He or she will correspond with the Big and Little by phone, e-mail and through in-person interactions to make sure the relationship is going as planned. Other supportive measures include agency referrals for service and educational support.
